Riccardo Federici was born in Rome on September 2, 1976. He developed an early interest in drawing and painting while simultaneously pursuing music as an accomplished drummer. After obtaining his art diploma, he attended the Faculty of Architecture at "La Sapienza" University of Rome while also studying human physiology.

During this formative period, he created medical anatomical illustrations, children's comic strips, and major advertising campaigns. In 2005, he signed a landmark publishing contract for the complex graphic novels "La Madone de Pellini 1-2." In 2009, he took over the graphic work on "Saria," originally designed by the legendary comic master Paolo Serpieri. Each page of Saria is essentially a classic oil painting, showcasing a level of fine art detail unprecedented in modern comic books.

His creative ambitions soon pushed beyond comics to oil painting and sculpture, allowing him to become the first comic book artist ever to have his original paintings exhibited at the prestigious Biennale of Rome, displayed alongside leading contemporary painters and photographers.

Federici works as a top-tier illustrator, comic artist, and concept designer for major global publishers including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse, Dynamite Entertainment, Blizzard Entertainment, and XM Studios, while conducting highly sought-after workshops throughout Europe.
